YouTube Youth Engagement

Cllr Martin Mullaney from  Moseley and Kings Heath Ward, Birmingham has a thing with taggers.  He has recently made a film about the tagging on a sports pavilion in his ward and posted it to YouTube.  Amazingly it has had over 2000 views and over 200 comments mostly from taggers in the area and Cllr Mullaney himself.  From a brief skim through the comments I suspect the taggers haven’t been won over to Cllr Mullaney’s point of view and I don’t think Cllr Mullaney has particularly made much effort to win them over through understanding or discussion – he uses mostly threat of arrest.

The positive aspect is that at least a conversation has been started.
