be a councillor

LondonCouncils have a launched www.beacouncillor.org.uk promoting the role of councillors and presenting them as young, diverse and interesting individuals.

It’s a fine looking site but would be improved by allowing people to ask questions and have them answered by existing councillors.  No, you have to turn up on July 12th to a conference in London for that.

Still I was particularly pleased to see that being a winner on I’m a Councillor does make you more attractive – to LondonCouncils marketing team at least.  Cllr Florence Nosegbe from Lambeth and Cllr Laura Sheppard from Waltham Forest both feature on the site.

We would love to hear your comments
